4. Abstract: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has caused great harm to people’s life and health worldwide. Acupuncture and moxibustion, featuring distinct characteristics and unique advantages, is a vital part of TCM and has made important contributions to the anti-epidemic history in China, as recorded in ancient Chinese medical literature that acupuncture and moxibustion can prevent and treat infectious diseases. Multiple guidelines for acupuncture and moxibustion intervention for COVID-19 have been issued by the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, China Association of Chinese Medicine and China Association of Acupuncture-Moxibustion successively, since relevant departments in China have clearly stated that great importance should be attached to TCM application. Studies have found that acupuncture and moxibustion has been widely used in the treatment of various inflammatory diseases. Acupuncture can alleviate the abnormal immune system caused by coronavirus infection by inhibiting “cytokine storm”, thus achieving the effect of treatment and intervention. Exploring the mechanism of acupuncture intervention on COVID-19 can provide theoretical support for clinical prevention and treatment.
演讲内容：COVID-19疫情爆发后对世界各国人民的生命健康造成极大危害。针灸是中医学重要组成部分并具有自身鲜明特色和独特优势，在我国抗疫历史上做出了重要贡献，我国古典医籍即有针灸可以预防和治疗传染病的记载。我国有关部门明确提出要高度重视中医药的应用，国家中医药管理局、中华中医药学会和中国针灸学会先后发布多项针灸干预新冠肺炎的指南。现代研究发现针灸已广泛应用于治疗各种炎症性疾病，针刺可以通过抑制“细胞因子风暴”来缓解冠状病毒感染引起的免疫系统异常，从而达到治疗效果，探讨针刺对COVID-19的作用机制，可以为为针刺更好地应用于临床防治提供一定的理论支持。
